Before retiring in late 2023, Cathyrn worked for 14 years as a Sr. Associate General Counsel for the American Dental Association. In that role, she managed day-to-day legal operations of the
Commission on Dental Accreditation, the Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations, and the National Commission on Recognition of Dental Specialties and Certifying Boards, among many other committee and work group assignments with the organization. An experienced litigator with an extensive employment law background, she also supported the ADA human resources function, and has spoken frequently on employment law topics to state and local dental associations and dental students.
Prior to her tenure at the ADA, Cathryn was a partner at two prominent Chicago law firms, first
at Jenner & Block and later at Jackson Lewis PC. She graduated cum laude from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law in 1991.
In retirement, Cathryn looks forward to a more relaxed legal and consulting practice, in matters
that interest her.
