Bethy Turton, BDS, MComDent, PhD holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Office of Global and Population Health a the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (Boston University) and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Dental Faculty of the University Puthisastra (Cambodia). Over the last 10 years, she has set up and evaluated different approaches to the management of dental caries among high risk communities, developing research that now informs local policy on dental public health in Cambodia. The school based oral health program she designed in Cambodia uses a novel triage system to allocate resources based on clinical need and Silver Diamine Fluoride plays a key role in reducing caries progression. Her ongoing areas of interest are Cariology, Child oral health care pathways, growth and development and systems thinking as it pertains to health and health systems.
