Leslie E. Grant, DDS, MSPA

Dr. Leslie E. Grant is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, and graduated high school in Gary, Indiana. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree, Cum Laude from Boston University and a Master of Speech Pathology and Audiology Degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Grant obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1986, and completed a General Practice Residency at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey in 1987.
Dr. Grant provided dental care in her private practice in Baltimore for more than twenty years. She is a former Chief Dental Officer for the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners and is currently an examiner for the Commission on Dental Competency Assessment (CDCA). She is a Past President of the National Dental Association and a former Board Chair of the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP).
Dr. Grant is a member of the NDA, ADA, American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD), and a Fellow in both the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists. In 2006 she was named as one of the “One Hundred + Most Influential African Americans” by Ebony Magazine, and was named as one of Maryland’s “Top 100 Women for 2015”. AAWD presented her with the Lucy Hobbs Taylor Award in 2018. Dr. Grant is a Life Member of the NAACP and the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association. She serves on the Community Impact and the Governance Committees of the Dr. Edward Shils Entrepreneurial Fund Board of Directors.
